General Shipping Policy

Sellers receive a set shipping reimbursement from Half.com for each listing.

When Half.com sends the seller an order notification, the desired shipping method will be included in that notification. Sellers will have 3 business days to ship the item from the order notification.

For both sellers' and buyers' protection in the event of order problems, we highly recommend that sellers insure and track shipments. Half.com reserves the right to suspend the privileges of any member we feel may be acting in a fraudulent manner.

Holidays

Since sellers are dependent on the United States Postal Service (USPS) for the majority of shipping on our site, Half.com observes any holidays recognized by the USPS and those days are not included in shipping times. For a list of these holidays please click here.

Half.com does not consider any of the holidays recognized by the USPS or weekends as part of the 72 hours required for a seller to ship their items.

Buyer Shipping Options and Cost - Books, Music, Movies, Games and Game Systems

All sellers listing in Half.com's Books, Music, Movies or Games product categories must use, at a minimum, U.S. Postal Service Media Mail to ship orders, and for Game Systems, a minimum of Ground shipping. In addition, all sellers in these product categories have the option of offering a form of expedited shipping as an upgrade.

In general, items shipped via Media Mail should arrive in 2 - 9 days (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) from the time of shipping. It is our experience that Media Mail shipments may take as long as 30 days to arrive.  Note that the USPS does not guarantee a specified delivery time for Media Mail and it may receive “deferred service.”  Items shipped via an expedited shipping method (including: USPS Priority, Fed Ex Home Delivery, UPS Ground, Airborne Express Ground Delivery) should arrive in 1 - 3 days from the time of shipping. In our experience, expedited shipping may take as long as 6 - 10 days to arrive.

You can upgrade to an expedited form of shipping in one of the following ways:

• Look for and click the "Upgrade" link (indicated by the airplane icon) on the item listing page in the Shipping column. On the next page, choose Expedited and then place the item in your shopping cart by clicking the red "Buy this item" button.

• Place an item in your shopping cart and click the Change Shipping Method link. Choose Expedited and Update Cart.

Your final shopping cart and final checkout page will indicate the change in price.

How do I save on Shipping buying Books, Music, Movies, and Games?

You can save on shipping simply by adding more than one item to your shopping cart from the same seller. If you have one item from that seller in your cart already, you can click on the sellers name or statement "buy more from this seller" next to the seller's name to see what other items the seller has available. By combining more than one item from the same seller, you will be charged a reduced shipping fee.

In the event a buyer files a claim for some of the items on a multiple item order from the same seller, where at least one or more of the items was received, the buyer will receive the discounted shipping amount for their shipping reimbursement.

Additional Shipping

The buyer agrees to pay additional shipping and handling costs for items purchased should the item have to be shipped an additional time due to an error in the shipping address listed at Half.com provided by the buyer. This charge may also occur if additional shipping is required because the package was either refused or undeliverable to the listed address. This charge shall be the same amount as the shipping and handling cost incurred for the first shipping.
